Transmitter

The transmitter asset represents an RF source. It is linked to an antenna and provides transmit frequency, power, polarization, and optional modulation or bandwidth parameters.

Main Parameters

Field Meaning
antenna_guid Antenna used by the transmitter.
transmitter_type Simple or Complex.
parameters Schema-driven RF parameters.
signal_type Signal category, currently RF-oriented.

Simple Transmitter Parameters

Parameter Meaning
frequency Carrier frequency.
power Transmit power.
polarization Linear, RHCP, or LHCP.
additional_gain_dB Extra gain added to EIRP.
additional_loss_dB Extra loss subtracted from EIRP.

Complex Transmitter Additions

Parameter Meaning
data_rate Data rate.
bandwidth Signal bandwidth.
modulation Modulation type.
filter_type Optional filter model.
filter_order Filter order.

Validation Notes

  • A transmitter should be linked to an antenna.
  • Power and frequency must be positive.
  • The transmitter frequency should be compatible with the antenna design frequency.
