Propulsion subsystem

Coming in the next Beta builds

Not in Beta 0.1.0

The propulsion editor, catalogs, and the analyses that consume them are not exposed in Beta 0.1.0. This page is a preview of what follows — not a setup guide.

A propulsion subsystem will sit on the spacecraft as tank + thruster. ASTROLAB will cover chemical and electrical chains, each with presets (propellant and thruster class) so you can start from a representative bus instead of typing every number.

Those models will feed:

  • Station keeping — Δv and propellant to hold a LEO or GEO box
  • Propellant budget — how much you carry, spend, and have left over the study
  • Trajectory design — finite burns and more complex manoeuvre sequences, including a last burn / controlled deorbit in the SSA (Space Situational Awareness) workflow

Until those builds land, Station keeping remains the analytical Δv envelope only (no thruster / tank coupling). Coverage, Link, Latency, and Power do not need a propulsion subsystem.
